Continente Equilíbrio launches national 0% added sugar cookies
Produced in Portugal, the 0% Added Sugar Cookies are Continente Equilíbrio’s newest launch, with three different flavours - “5 Cereals and Raspberry”, “Chocolate and Cocoa” and “Chai and Ginger”. The cookies are available in packages with 4 individual sachets in all Continente stores and online, for a RRP of 1.49euros (160g).
Without any added sugar but retaining all the flavour, the new Continente Equilíbrio Cookies offer a combination of three flavours that meet the seasonal trends, seeking to meet the consumers’ expectations. The packages are practical, as they are presented in individual doses and bite size, ideal for healthy daily snacks.
According to Mayumi Thaís Delgado, Continente’s nutritionist, “these cookies were developed so that the ingredient present in greater quantity was a wholemeal flour. In addition, they have no added sugar and have a high fiber content, so they can be integrated into a balanced diet by complementing snacks. In addition to these premises, there are no red lights in their Nutritional “Traffic Light”, they have no palm fat nor hydrogenated fats, thus fulfilling the strict criteria we have assumed for the ‘Continente Equilíbrio’ brand.”
This innovative range’s launch combines balanced and healthy nutrition with national production, reinforcing Continente's commitment to democratizing access to nutritionally balanced products, at a time when the Portuguese are increasingly aware of the importance of their eating habits and the impact that this has on their health and the environment.
