Objective
Own-brand packaging to be recyclable
compostable or reusable by 2025 and will incorporate an average of 30% recycled material and, by 2028, reduce food waste from our operations by 50% compared to 2020.
Performance
Over the past year, we have made progress in terms of the eco-design of our packaging with the aim of eliminating unnecessary use of resources, ensuring that the materials used in the different packaging components are compatible with each other. Mechanisms to accelerate product turnover and the surplus donation programme have prevented around €76 million worth of food waste.
