‘CONTINENTE FOOD FESTIVAL’ KICKS OFF THIS WEEKEND AT PORTO’S CITY PARK

Music and gastronomy come together in another edition of the Continente Food Festival, which returns to the City Park, in Porto, this weekend, July 8th and 9th, with free admission. Doors open at 11 am and close at 11 pm.

Sebastián Yatra, Ana Moura, Calema, Diogo Piçarra, Rita Rocha, Tony Carreira and Nina Toc Toc are the artists who take the stage at this Festival, which, in last year’s edition, had thousands of visitors, and won an award in the category ‘Festival and own events’ at BEA World.

Festivalgoers will be able to enjoy the ‘Cozinha Continente’ space where renowned chefs Noélia Jerónimo (Sea Couscous with Atlantic croaker), Diogo Rocha (Lafões style Veal), Hélio Loureiro (Porto style Tripe), Kiko Martins (Shrimp Curry with Green Apple and Basmati Rice) and Manuel Almeida (Cod Loin with Creamy Tomato Rice and Fresh Herbs) come together to prepare and serve typical delicacies, with national products, for 5 euros.

The food court also has the barbecue area ‘Grelha do Chakall’, with a large quantity of freshly grilled meats, led by the well-known Argentinian chef.

This edition also includes the ‘Cozinha de Rua’, the ‘Praça dos Vinhos’ and the ‘Cozinh’Arte Oliveira da Serra’ spaces, where chefs join musicians, youtubers and tiktokers to cook together.

The ‘Vida Saudável’ (Healthy Living) stage will promote a line-up of activities related to this theme and the ‘Fula’ Family space includes several moments of entertainment for the younger ones, including the Kids Zone, the Ferris Wheel and the Slide.

During the Continente Food Festival’s days, the public transportation network will be reinforced and, for those who choose to take their own vehicle, the Castelo do Queijo, Casa da Música and Campo Alegre car parks have a special daily price of 1.50€ (VAT included). Festivalgoers must contact the park’s security to make payment and benefit from the special rate.

The full festival programme is announced on the brand’s platforms and social networks.
