CONTINENTE PROMOTES FREE OUTDOOR FILM SCREENINGS ACROSS THE COUNTRY
Continente will promote 40 free outdoor film screenings in the main squares of the locations where some of the Continente Modelo stores are located. This initiative takes place from July 13th to September 17th at 22:00, and customers vote for the film they want to see.

The first session takes place on Thursday, July 13th, at Parque do Arnado, in Ponte de Lima, followed by Penafiel, Vale de Cambra and Lamego, on July 14th, 15th and 16th, respectively.
Admission to ‘Cinema na Praça’ is free and each session will have an average of 500 seats available to watch one of the 6 most watched films in recent years, such as ‘Top Gun Maverick’ (2022), ‘Curral de Moinas: Os Banqueiros do Povo (2022), “Everything Everywhere All at Once” (2022), “The Little Mermaid” (2023); “Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3” (2023) and “Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves” (2023).
Customers are invited to choose the film they want to see and can vote on their favourite film up to 3 days before each initiative. Voting is available at cinemanapraca.continente.pt.
In addition to the free screenings, Continente gifts water, juice, and sweet and salty popcorn to all the ‘Cinema na Praça’ initiative participants.
The brand’s goal is to be closer to the communities where Continente Modelo stores are located and to provide good times, choosing relevant locations in each place so that the public can enjoy a free film session of one of the most watched films in recent years.
