Oeiras gets new Continente Bom Dia store
Opening today, with about 1055 m2 of sales area, Continente Bom Dia Santo Amaro de Oeiras, is located on Avenida Duarte Pacheco, in the municipality of Oeiras. This new space has Cafeteria and Well's services and guarantees all safety rules to protect both customers and employees.
The new space, which will create 38 jobs, offers a range with thousands of products, including Continente’s private label as well as the brands that usually make up the basket of Portuguese choices. This opening reinforces the brand's commitment in the municipality of Oeiras, which now has 6 Continente stores and 61 brand stores in the Lisbon district.
Continente Bom Dia Santo Amaro de Oeiras presents itself as a reference space in the environmental field, where customers can charge their electric vehicles while shopping. There are two charging stations, where Continente Card holders, who make purchases over € 30, can also benefit from free charges, with about 35km of autonomy.
We highlight the fresh produce available, from fruits and vegetables, to the bakery, butcher and fishmonger that the store will make available, with products from the region. Here, consumers will find an area very similar to traditional markets with a very comfortable and contemporary environment, where all information about the origin and characteristics of the produce will be available.
The opening of the space is marked by a 10% discount on Continente Card campaign, throughout the store, taking place from the 29th to the 31st of October.
The local population and institutions in the region will be able to count on Missão Continente’s social intervention initiatives, now promoted by this new store. Continente Bom Dia Santo Amaro de Oeiras will support, with its daily food surpluses, the associations ‘Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Oeiras’ and the ‘Associação Missão Patas Felizes’.
In the new store’s area of influence, there is also support for 7 institutions, focused on fighting food waste, fighting hunger, promoting healthy eating and environmental sustainability – ‘Solfraterno’ (Oeiras Social Solidarity Association); Oeiras Elderly and Disabled People Assistance Association - Residential Unit of Pedreira Italiana; ‘Refood Oeiras’; ‘Amigos de S. Marcos’ Association; ‘Casa Nossa Senhora de Fátima’ (Canossian Institute); S. Julião da Barra Social and Parish Center and ‘Missão Patas Felizes’ Association. In the environmental front, it is also worth mentioning the availability of equipment where consumers can deposit used cooking oils, used batteries and cork stoppers, which will later be taken for recycling. Consumers also have at their disposal a variety of Reusable Bags in the fresh produce area and next to the cashiers. In terms of lighting, the store has 100% LED low consumption lights, and also equipment to control and reduce potential excessive water consumption.
