NEW CONTINENTE BOM DIA OPENS IN CARNAXIDE
Open daily from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, the new Continente Bom Dia Carnaxide World Trade Center, located on Rua Fernando Távora, creates 38 new jobs in the region and offers cafeteria, bakery and take away services. The new supermarket has 98 parking spaces in the covered car park, 23 spaces outdoors and two charging stations for electric vehicles.
To mark the arrival in the region, Missão Continente gifted shopping carts filled with essential goods to the institutions sponsored by the new store: ‘APOIO’ - Social Solidarity Association, ‘Refood Carnaxide’, São Romão de Carnaxide’s Parish Social Centre, ‘Solfraterno’ – Oeiras’ Social Solidarity Association and ‘Tiarama’ Association - Treating and Integrating Street Animals in Amadora.
These institutions will be permanently supported by Missão Continente, through the new Continente Bom Dia Carnaxide World Trade Center store’s daily food surplus.
Jorge Simões, the new Continente Bom Dia Carnaxide World Trade Center store’s Director, explains that “we remain being close to our customers, with convenient and accessible locations and always with the best bakery, fresh products, butcher, fishmonger, take-away and cafeteria services, at the best prices.”
This opening reinforces the brand’s commitment to the municipality of Oeiras, which now features 7 Continente stores.
Like all the brand’s stores, this store allows customers to use reusable bags when buying fruit, vegetables or bakery products, and reusable boxes for charcuterie and take away services. To promote and raise awareness on food waste, customers can find 0%Waste boxes for sale, which contain 5 kg of fruits and vegetables in good consumption conditions, but close to the limit of their shelf life, for €0.50/kg.
The opening of the space is marked by a 10% discount on Continente Card campaign, throughout the entire store, between the 28th of September and the 2nd of October.
On the environmental front, the store features integrated photovoltaic solar panels in the car park.
In terms of lighting, the store has 100% LED low-consumption light bulbs, equipment to control and reduce excessive water consumption and containers where customers can deposit used cooking oil, used batteries and cork stoppers, which will later be taken for recycling.
