MEU SUPER STRENGTHENS BRAND VALUES IN NEW CAMPAIGN

“We have that, and much more than that” is the motto of Meu Super's multimedia campaign, which recalls the classic phrase from Portuguese cinema “Ó Evaristo, tens cá disto?” (“Hey Evaristo, have you got this?”), reinforcing both the proximity and the variety of products which is characteristic of Sonae MC’s proximity stores.



The campaign, which is running on TV, Radio and Digital, demonstrates the variety of products offered by Meu Super stores to consumers, reinforcing the brand's values. The campaign, created by UPPOUT, shows 'Evaristo', the customer, at Meu Super stores asking his 'neighbour' for his favourite products. Through this campaign, Meu Super stores’ objective is to show the variety and proximity of the brand's stores, by a funny and close to customers tone.

Meu Super establishments are supermarkets that respond to the most demanding needs of customers: proximity stores, with personalized service, extended hours and quality products, with variety. This proximity format gained greater importance among customers during the pandemic phase, remaining as an option for frequent purchases, in the neighbourhood of their homes, workplaces or schools.

In 2020, Meu Super opened 17 stores and the chain featured more than 171 million euros in sales. With around 300 stores, the brand is present in all districts of mainland Portugal, in Madeira, in the Azores and also in Cape Verde.

In 2021, Sonae MC's proximity store brand was the winner, for the fourth consecutive year, in the ‘Cinco Estrelas’ (Five Stars) and ‘Excellentia’ awards and, for the sixth consecutive year, in the Consumer Choice award. These distinctions show that these spaces are a reference in terms of accessibility and quality, as well as for their service increasingly closer and adapted to the customer.
