CONTINENTE STRENGTHENS THE DISTRICT OF LISBON WITH 2 MORE STORES
Today, Continente opens two new stores in the District of Lisbon: Continente Modelo Carcavelos and Continente Bom Dia Avenida de Roma, reinforcing the brand’s strategy for expansion throughout the national territory.
Continente Modelo Carcavelos, features 2135 m2 of sales area, and Wells, Bagga, note! and Washy services.
Together, the two new stores create more than 130 new jobs in the region, reinforcing the brand’s commitment, which now has 68 stores in the district of Lisbon, 23 of which in the municipality of lisbon and 4 in the municipality of Cascais.
Consumers can expect a range of thousands of products, which includes Continente’s private label as well as the brands that usually make up the basket of choices made by the Portuguese. There are also reusable bags available for the purchase of fruit, vegetables or bakery products and 0% waste boxes, containing 5 kg of fruit and vegetables in good consumption conditions, but close to the limit of their shelf life, for €0.50/kg. We also highlight the fresh and seasonal products always available, from fruits and vegetables, to bakery, butcher and fishmonger products that the store has to offer, with regional products.
In the environmental front, for these new stores, it is also worth highlighting the availability of equipment where consumers can deposit used cooking oil, used batteries and cork stoppers, which will later be taken for recycling. In terms of lighting, the stores have 100% LED low-consumption light bulbs, and also equipment to control and reduce potential excessive water consumption.
The opening of these spaces is marked by a 10% discount on Continente Card campaign, throughout the store, between the 17th and 19th of December.
The local population and institutions in the region will be able to rely on the social intervention initiatives carried out by Missão Continente, now energized by these new stores. Continente Modelo Carcavelos will support the ‘Casa dos Meninos’ and ‘São Domingos Conference’ associations as well as the ‘São Francisco de Assis’ Animal Support Association with its daily food surplus.
