CONTINENTE STRENGTHENS ITS PRESENCE IN LISBON WITH 2 NEW STORES
Av. 5 de Outubro and Metro Colombo are the Continente Bom Dia stores’ two new locations, which open today in Lisbon, creating 32 new jobs in the region. The store on Av. 5 de Outubro is open daily from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm, and the Metro Colombo store is open daily from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.
These two openings follow MC’s proximity stores’ expansion policy, in urban locations and neighbourhoods, in a format that is closer and more convenient for customers and reinforces the brand’s commitment to the municipality of Lisbon, which now has 28 of the brand’s stores. By the end of the year, Continente will be opening 6 more stores.
The opening of the spaces is marked by a 10% discount on Continente Card campaign, throughout the store, between the 14th and 18th of December, which accumulates with the promotions in force.
In the two new stores, customers can use reusable bags when buying fruit, vegetables or bakery products or reusable boxes for cold cuts and take away services. Also noteworthy is the fresh and seasonal products, from fruits and vegetables, to the bakery, butcher and fishmonger that the store has available, with national products, as well as the possibility for customers to use the advantages provided by the Continente Card.
The Continente Card represents a savings ecosystem, which is already being used by around 4 million Portuguese families, who can thus benefit from advantages in different categories of family expenses – food, catering, fuel, health, textiles, etc.
In terms of environmental sustainability, the stores feature 100% LED low-consumption light bulbs, equipment to control and reduce excessive water consumption and containers where customers can deposit used cooking oil, used batteries and cork stoppers, which will later be taken for recycling.
There are currently more than 150 Continente Bom Dia stores in Portugal, where around 7000 people work.
