SAVINGS ARRIVE IN PEVIDÉM WITH THE OPENING OF A NEW CONTINENTE STORE
Pevidém, parish of Selho S. Jorge, has, as of today, the first Continente Bom Dia store featuring 1160 m2 of sales area and 81 parking spaces, with 4 charging stations for electric vehicles. Located on Avenida Sociedade Musical de Pevidém, Continente Bom Dia Pevidém has around 29 employees and is open daily from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, following MC’s proximity stores’ expansion policies in urban locations and neighbourhoods. This opening reinforces the brand’s commitment to the district of Guimarães, which now has its 3rd store.

The opening of the space is marked with a 10% discount on Continente Card campaign, throughout the store, between the 25th and 28th of January, which accumulates with current promotions.
“The opening of the store in Pevidém represents Continente’s commitment to being close to our customers, always placing them at the centre of our business, to provide them with the best value proposition and brand experience, through our stores. We want to offer quality products at affordable prices to families and continue to receive the affection we have had for over 38 years.” explains Store Director, Isabel Lima, who has been with MC for 28 years.
On the environmental front, the photovoltaic solar panels on the roof and in the car park stand out, which represent around 45% of the store's total consumption, guaranteeing its self-sufficiency for a period of more than 8 hours on a day with good solar radiation. The store also features 100% LED low consumption light bulbs for lighting, and equipment to control and reduce excessive water consumption.
To highlight its arrival in the region, Missão Continente gifted shopping carts filled with essential goods to the institutions sponsored by the new store: ‘São Cristóvão De Selho’s Parish Social Centre’, ‘Brito’s Social Centre’ and ‘Guimarães Animal Protection Society’. Missão Continente will permanently support these institutions, through daily food surpluses from the new Continente Bom Dia Pevidém store.
At Continente Bom Dia Pevidém, consumers can also use reusable bags when purchasing fruit, vegetables or bakery products, as well as reusable boxes for delicatessen and take-away products. Also noteworthy are the fresh and seasonal products always available, from fruits and vegetables, to the bakery, butcher and fishmonger that the store offers, with national products.
