NEW CONTINENTE LAUNDRY DETERGENTS, MORE EFFECTIVE AND SUSTAINABLE
On the 29th and 30th of April, customers visiting Continente hypermarkets across the country will receive a sample of the new ‘Ultimate Power+ Continente’ laundry detergent. This is one of the actions in the campaign to launch this new range by the Continente brand, which stands out for its more innovative and effective formula and its long-lasting fragrance on fabrics.
All customers can also benefit from an exclusive 20% discount on ‘Power+ Continente’ liquid laundry detergents through the flyer that accompanies this sample offer. The new range offers a total of six different detergents, in 40-dose bottles or Savings Pack format (86 doses) and RRPs from €0.03 per dose.
The ‘Power+’ laundry detergent range was tested, in an independent laboratory, against the 7 most sold brands on the market and the results proved its effectiveness in removing the various types of stains. ‘Power+ Ultimate’ detergent, in grease stain removal tests - olive oil, lipstick, motor oil, etc. - at 30ºC, obtained an average of 52.9% against 48.6% (the average of the detergent in second place); on enzymatic stains – blood, pudding, chocolate, etc. - at 30ºC, it stood out with an average of 61%, against 48.9% (the average of the detergent in second place); and, in oxidizable efficacy tests –tomato, wine, coffee stains, etc. - at 30ºC, it obtained an average of 65.5% against 58% (the average of the detergent in second place).
The development of new detergents had, in addition to concerns about innovation and quality, environmental concerns. The ultra-concentrated formula makes it possible to reduce the size of packaging, which translates into annual savings of 20.3 tonnes of plastic (about 129,000 packages saved). These changes reduce the amount of plastic placed on the market by around 18%.
The new ultra-concentrated formulas allow for 40 doses in just 2l bottles, which means a smaller ecological footprint. In addition to plastic, it also represents less water and transportation expenses.
