Until August 31st, and to celebrate the brand’s 11th anniversary, Meu Super supermarkets will be gifting a 100% electric car - Smart ForTwo EQ - to the customer who makes the most purchases, with a value equal to or greater than 25 euros, registered in Continente Card.

For João Belo, General Director at Meu Super, “we always make a point of celebrating special dates together with our customers, reciprocating their preference. This campaign also aims to raise awareness on a topic as important as the environment and, thus, we will be gifting our ‘neighbours’ an electric car”.

Meu Super supermarkets seek to respond to the most demanding customers’ needs with proximity stores, with a personalized service, extended hours and products with both quality and variety. This proximity and convenience format has gained greater importance among customers in recent years, thus remaining an option for frequent purchases, in the neighbourhood of customers’ residence, workplace or schools.

This year, Meu Super was awarded the “Seal of Excellence in Franchising 2022”, granted by the Portuguese Franchising Association. This award measures the satisfaction rate of franchisees, being awarded to the companies that best operate in the franchise market in Portugal. Also this year, Meu Super was the winner, for the 7th consecutive year, of the Consumer Choice award, which demonstrates notoriety and recognition from consumers. Meu Super stores were also awarded, for the 5th consecutive year, with the ‘Excellentia’ and the ‘Cinco Estrelas’ Awards.

‘Meu Super’ opened 37 new stores in 2021, including Madeira, Azores and Cape Verde, which stand out for their quality fresh products, the presence of Continente’s private label products and other leading brands in the market, competitive prices and an attractive promotional plan reinforced by the ability to use Continente’s Fidelity card, through in-store discounts and benefits from a wide network of partners.

Over 11 years, Meu Super opened around 316 stores across the country, with a total sales area of ​​50 thousand m2 and created 1500 jobs. In 2021, Meu Super stores’ sales exceeded €175 million, reinforcing its position in the segment of stores with less than 400 m2.
