Snack Bites are the new Continente Food Lab products
Produced in Portugal, the Freeness brand’s Apple and Cinnamon, Cocoa and Raspberry Snack Bites are the new Continente Food Lab products that follow the ‘free from’ food trend, as they are free from any of the 14 main allergens. They are available at the Continente stores which have Food Lab corners, as well as online, in the Porto and Lisbon areas, for €1.99.
With no added sugars, rich in fiber and low in saturated fat, these snacks are ideal for all consumers, from those who have food intolerances and allergies, to those who choose a diet free from animal products, such as vegans, vegetarians and flexitarians.
The new Freeness brand’s products, present at Continente Food Lab, have no additives and are produced from biological products, such as dates, sunflower seeds, puffed millet, teff flakes, dehydrated apple, cocoa powder, or dehydrated raspberry. They are ideal for a quick and convenient snack and arrive at the corners through a partnership with Nestlé, with production being in charge of the Portuguese startup Fidufoods.
Continente Food Lab’s products are characterized as innovative and disruptive and embody at least one of the most relevant emerging trends in terms of food, with particular emphasis on the health and well-being, sustainability and new ingredients and flavours and textures domains.
Continente is the leading food retail brand in Portugal, recognized in the dynamism and innovation territories, and with a solid path in digital disruption, in line with global trends.
