Continente fills “O nosso Croissant” with five flavours
Egg jam, Chocolate and hazelnut, Dulce de leche, Hazelnut and Red berries are the first five different fillings that Continente stores have for sale, as of today, so that customers can fill “O nosso Croissant” (“Our Croissant”) at home.
The five fillings, all produced in Portugal, are for sale next to the bakery area, in single-dose format, or in a tasting pack - Egg Jam, Chocolate and Hazelnut, Dulce de Leche, Hazelnut and Red Fruits -, so you can taste the different flavours in a more convenient and economical way.
For sale in all Continente stores, “O nosso Croissant” (“Our Croissant”) is a national product, the result of an exclusive recipe, which stands out for its half-brioche, half-puff pastry and its crunchy crust. This product registered a fantastic acceptance by customers who started to consider it in their regular consumption. We have seen a very high repetition rate, which proves the satisfaction of our customers who try it and have become loyal and great promoters of it.
According to Nuno Vital, Commercial Director at Sonae MC “we want to continue to innovate and to surprise our customers’ expectations, who are increasingly seeking “O nosso Croissant” (“Our Croissant”) and who suggested trying it out with new fillings. We will give our consumers another shopping experience and the ability and freedom to finish up our product when and how they want to. Thus, we tested these 5 flavours, which we know will meet what our customers are looking for, always prioritizing quality and unique flavours”.
Produced in Portugal and hand-rolled, “O nosso Croissant” (“Our Croissant”), as well as the newly launched fillings, were thought out in detail, from the meticulous improvement on the recipe to the development of the brand’s identity, to the in-store presentation and the personalized packaging – boxes or paper bag.
