CONTINENTE’S QUALITY NOW ARRIVES AT PARCHAL
Parchal, parish of Lagoa, welcomes the first Continente store featuring around 1700 m2 of sales area and 130 parking spaces, with 4 charging stations for electric vehicles. Located on Rua Infante Dom Henrique, Continente Bom Dia Parchal has around 60 employees and operates daily from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, following MC’s proximity stores’ expansion policies in urban locations and neighbourhoods. This opening reinforces the brand’s commitment to the Faro district, which now has 23 stores.

The opening of the space is marked with a 10% discount on Continente Card campaign, throughout the store, between the 21st and 24th of March, which accumulates with current promotions.
“We arrived at Parchal with a focus on proximity to our customers and also on the quality of our products, which include our private label and also the brands that usually make up the basket of choices of those who visit us. We want to keep being close to families, repaying the affection we have had for over 38 years,” explains Store Director, José Ferreira, who has been with MC for 8 years.
The new Continente Bom Dia Parchal store features photovoltaic solar panels on the roof and in the car park, which represent around 45% of the store’s total consumption, guaranteeing its self-sufficiency for a period of more than 8 hours on a day with good solar radiation. The store also features 100% LED low consumption light bulbs for lighting, and equipment to control and reduce excessive water consumption.
To highlight its arrival in the region, Missão Continente gifted shopping carts filled with essential goods to the institutions sponsored by the new store: Ferragudo’s Elderly Support Centre and the Carvoeiro’s Cat Charity Association - Animal Support Institution. Missão Continente will permanently support these institutions, through the daily food surpluses from the new Continente Bom Dia Parchal store.
At Continente Bom Dia Parchal, consumers can also use reusable bags when purchasing fruit, vegetables or bakery products, as well as reusable boxes for delicatessen and take-away products.
