Montemor-o-novo with first Continente Bom Dia store
The first Continente Bom Dia store in the municipality of Montemor-o-Novo has opened today at Avenida Gago Coutinho, in the parish of Nossa Senhora do Bispo. This new space, with about 1350m2 of sales area, guarantees all safety rules to protect both customers and employees, and has Cafeteria, Well's and Worten services.
Open from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm, this new store, which will create 49 jobs, reinforces the brand's commitment to the Évora district, which now has 4 Continente stores. The new store offers a range with thousands of products, including those of Continente’s private label and the brands that usually make up the basket of Portuguese choices.
The opening of the space is marked with a 10% discount on Continente Card campaign, throughout the store, taking place between the 16th and 20th of December.
Also noteworthy is the fresh produce always available, namely fruits and vegetables, bakery, butcher and fishmonger. Here, consumers will find a store very similar to traditional markets, with a very comfortable and contemporary environment, where all information about the products’ origin and characteristics will be available.
The local population and institutions in the region will be able to count on Missão Continente’s social intervention initiatives, now promoted by the new store. Continente Bom Dia Montemor-o-Novo will support, with its daily food surpluses, the associations ‘São Cristóvão’s Parish Social Centre’ and ‘Patolas e Patinhas - Montemor-o-Novo’s Kennel and Cattery’s Friends Association’.
In the environmental front, the store offers equipment where consumers can deposit used cooking oils, used batteries and cork stoppers, which will later be taken for recycling. Consumers also have at their disposal a variety of Reusable Bags in the fresh produce area and next to the cashiers. In terms of lighting, the store has 100% LED low consumption lighting, and also equipment to control and reduce any potential excessive water consumption.

Patolas e Patinhas - Montemor-o-Novo’s Kennel and Cattery’s Friends Association - It is a non-profit association, where their biggest concern is the city’s animals that need support. One of their main objectives is to collaborate with the municipal kennel / cattery of Montemor-o-Novo, both in improving living conditions for the animals and promoting the adoption of the kennel / cattery’s residents.
