‘Universidade Aberta’ (Open University) and MC today presented the new degree in Sales and Retail Management, which aims to respond to the needs of the retail sector and which includes 50 students. The presentation session took place today, at the Camões Auditorium, in Lisbon with the presence of representatives from ‘Universidade Aberta’ and MC.

The programme was developed in partnership with MC, to respond to the retail sector’s constant evolution, which is increasingly important in the Portuguese economy.

Comprised of 180 ECTS, the degree aims to develop knowledge, skills and deepen practices in the field of Management, particularly oriented towards the area of ​​Sales and Retail. It is aimed at professionals who already perform, or hope to be able to perform, the role of managers and directors in retail companies in any sector.

The aim is to contribute to the acquisition of a set of skills, namely in the use of digital technologies, the identification and characterization of markets and in the planning and management of operations, preparing students for active life”, highlights the dean of ‘Universidade Aberta’, Carla Padrel de Oliveira.

The degree in Sales and Retail Management is the first degree in this area at the ‘Universidade Aberta’and lasts 3 years. With a teaching staff made up of renowned experts in the field, centred on the Distance Learning model, aimed at adults, it ensures flexible teaching for students with a demanding professional activity, such as retail.
