UPON THE RETURN TO SCHOOL, CONTINENTE COLLECTS USED SCHOOL NOTEBOOKS FOR RECYCLING AND PLANTING TREES
Until September 18th, all Continente stores in the country are accepting used notebooks and paper of any brand that customers want to deliver, to guarantee their recycling, in a partnership between Continente and the Oxford Brand and integrated into the ‘Back to School Fair’. For every tonne collected in the ‘Cadernão’ at the entrance of the store, the brand will plant 20 trees at the end of the campaign, in the Sonae Forest - an area of 1,100 acres in Mangualde, planted according to diversity and fire prevention criteria, with the goal of offsetting the group’s emissions.
“Everything for Going Back to School at the lowest prices” is the motto of Continente’s new campaign. From August 16th to September 17th, the ‘Back to School Fair’ takes place in all stores and on Continente Online, with many new features and direct discounts of up to 50% on the best brands on the market.
Continente’s offer includes the presence of students’ favourite brands, especially the note!, Eastpak, Oxford, Gabby and Pokemon brands, among many others, also highlighting the commitment to differentiating items, such as the note! and Talia brand’s disc notebooks, 100% customizable and reusable, this year with new accessories.
The note! brand further reinforces its commitment to the customer by investing in the quality of its products. This year, among other improvements, all their school trolleys have a reinforced base, making them more resistant and comfortable. In addition, the school supplies offer in pastel colours in notebooks, writing material and markers increased, with emphasis on the new silicone and glitter cases and more functional school diaries.
Continente’s Back to School also presents options for young adults and/or workers, with offers to return to university, office or telework, following trends in various segments such as backpacks, notebooks, writing or organization.
And because this campaign is for everyone, teachers may also find several new features in Continente’s Back to School, to organize and plan their daily lives.
Continente’s ‘Back to School Fair’ has, in addition to all the offers aimed at the school universe, an offer of furniture and home office, with options for all prices, in office chairs, gaming, bookcases, benches and desks for study and leisure from the KASA brand.
Through the ‘Mais Continente’ kiosks in the store, customers can order all the furniture and receive it directly at home completely free of charge as well as order the School Books.
As part of the reinforcement of the school mission, it is possible to order the School Books - textbooks and activity books - for the next academic year, with free delivery. Orders up to August 31st benefit from several direct discounts: 20% in binding, up to 20% in dictionaries and grammars and 5% on the price of school books (the latter upon indicating the Continente Card number at the time of purchase).
Continente Online is also an authorized point for exchanging MEGA vouchers - Free School Books -, so the payment of textbooks can be made with these vouchers, which have already started to be issued by the Ministry of Education. To take advantage of all the benefits, customers can place their order even if they do not have the vouchers yet, as it is possible to add the respective codes later.
