‘PETIT PAPÃO’ DEBUTS ON CONTINENTE
‘Petit Papão’, the ready-to-eat and frozen meals for babies’ brand, is already on sale at Continente stores, in the Food Lab corner. These meals, developed by nutritionists, are 100% organic and designed for each stage of the baby’s life, without any food colouring, additives, added sugar or salt. They aim to simplify parents’ lives, with healthy, safe and convenient food solutions, especially during the holiday period. The lack of similar solutions on the market opened an opportunity for ‘Petit Papão’, ‘Nestlé’ and ‘Continente Food Lab’ to test out this new solution on the general public.
At its launch, this partnership between Nestlé and Continente Food Lab presents three products - Petit Papão’s Veal Cream Soup (RRP €3.99), Hake Cream Soup (RRP €3.99) and Veal Bolognese (RRP €4.49) -, with the aim of ascertaining the parents’ (and babies’) preferences and adjusting the offer, since the brand already has more options to explore with customers. To prepare it, simply let the product thaw the night before in the refrigerator and then heat in a bain-marie or microwave.
This partnership comes under the Open Innovation Nestlé Start&CO programme, an initiative by Nestlé and the new School of Business and Economics, which aims to identify and select start-ups to develop and test future business opportunities.
