Continente distinguished in International Prize for Private Labels
Both the 'Continente Seleção Caramel Coffee' and the 'Continente Eco 100% Recycled Double Ply Paper Napkins' received the PLMA's 2021 International Salute to Excellence Awards, an award created to recognize the quality and innovation of private labels. These two distinctions add to the 33 national and international awards already received for Continente’s Private Label products, in 2021 alone.
The Salute to Excellence Awards evaluates products based on their concept, taste and appearance, product’s material, packaging, presentation and cost-effectiveness.
The jury evaluated the 'Continente Seleção Caramel Coffee' as a product featuring 'good strong caramel flavour', 'good sweetness and bitterness balance' and 'nice and practical packaging'. The 'Continente Eco 100% Recycled Double Ply Paper Napkins’ were recognized as 'strong napkins', 'good story in terms of product sustainability' and 'good price'.
The international panel of judges evaluated around 600 products, from 84 categories sold by 62 retailers from 23 countries.
