Innovation associated with retail at the BIT Hackathon by MC | 24-HOUR TECHNOLOGICAL MARATHON
The 4th edition of BIT Hackathon by MC, a 24-hour technological marathon that challenges universities, technological communities, start-ups and partners to develop projects with innovative ideas for retail, will take place on May 24th and 25th, at Quinta do Jordão , in Vila Nova de Gaia, and registrations are open.
MC challenges participants to seek concepts across the value chain that can affect the retail sector, using references such as generative artificial intelligence, gamification strategies, sustainability or new ways of working. These projects can be applied to all MC brands (Continente, Continente Modelo, Continente Bom Dia, Continente Online, Meu Super, Bagga, Go Natural, Wells, Dr. Wells, Arenal, note!, ZU, Washy and Home Story) .
The winning team receives a prize of €2,500 in ‘Dá’ Card and the second and third places, €1,500 and €500, respectively.
Pedro Côrte-Real, head of IT at MC, says, “the Hackathon is one of the ways in which we show everyone our technological side, at the same time as we are challenged, in turn, to innovate. This year we will have, again, several new features and additional resources to strengthen the developed solutions. We are very excited about the possibilities of this open event and the reinforcement it brings to the relationship with partners and communities”.
