III Great National Sustainability Survey
American environmentalist Chad Frischmann, Project Drawdown’s co-creator and Regenerative Intelligence’s CEO, will be one of the speakers at the event to present the results of the Missão Continente/ICS-ULisboa III Great National Sustainability Survey, which takes place on October 19th, from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm, in ICS-ULisboa’s auditorium. Access is free, upon prior registration.
Promoted by Missão Continente and with scientific coordination by OBSERVA/ICS-ULisboa, the III Great National Sustainability Survey continues the two previous surveys (2016 and 2019) and results from a questionnaire, made to a statistically representative sample of Portuguese people aged over 18 years old, on topics such as environmental sustainability, the dimensions of well-being, consumption practices and lifestyles and expectations for the country’s future. The results will be presented by the ICS-ULisboa researchers, Luísa Schmidt and Mónica Truninger.
Chad Frischmann, one of the speakers at the event, was one of the founders and lead investigator of Project Drawdow, a non-profit organization that seeks to help the world reach the point where the level of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere stops rising and starts steadily decreasing. Frischmann is also co-author of the bestseller “The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming” (Penguin, 2017).
“How has the pandemic changed consumers’ social, ecological and economic lifestyles? What is the impact of these changes for the planet’s sustainability?” is the topic being discussed at the roundtable led by Bento Rodrigues, following the presentation of the study, and which will include the participation of Mariana Pereira Silva, Director of Sustainability at MC, Luísa Schmidt, Researcher at ICS-ULisboa, Deolinda Silva, Executive Director at PortugalFoods, Francisco Goiana da Silva, President of the Health Parliament Portugal and Anna Masiello, MSc in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and Hero_to_0 Influencer.
