MEU SUPER OPENS 1st STORE OF 2023 IN TORRE DE MONCORVO
Meu Super opened its first proximity store in 2023, and its 9th store in the Bragança district, located in the Portuguese town of Torre de Moncorvo, thus reinforcing its focus on close service and a personalized shopping experience, adjusted to the preferences of customers.
With the goal of expanding Meu Super’s proximity store network, the new store aims to serve the local population with a diversified and quality offer and with all the advantages provided by the Continente loyalty card, through in-store discounts and benefits in a wide network of partners.
The Meu Super Torre de Moncorvo store is open from Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 8 pm; Sundays from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 7 pm and on holidays from 9 am to 5 pm.
Meu Super supermarkets seek to respond to the customers’ most demanding needs with nearby stores, with personalized service, extended opening hours and quality products, with variety. This proximity and convenience format has gained greater importance among customers in recent years, thus remaining an option for frequent purchases, in the vicinity of their homes, workplaces or schools.
Over 11 years, Meu Super opened 316 stores across the country, with a total sales area of 50,000 m2 and created 1,500 jobs.
Portuguese consumers elected Meu Super as the No. 1 brand in the ‘Proximity Supermarkets’ category in the 2023 Consumer Choice award, for the 8th consecutive year. The Consumer Choice award, which is now in its 11th edition, rewards brands according to the evaluation of thousands of consumers, having Meu Super supermarkets registered the highest level of satisfaction or recommendation attributed by customers, based on its performance in 2022.
