For instance, there will be no distribution of pamphlets and donations will be left directly in boxes previously disinfected, in order to avoid any physical contact between BSA volunteers and store customers.

Among the most needed products are dry and wet dog and cat food and cat litter. Those interested can also contribute with hygiene and cleaning products, leashes, collars or feeders.

In parallel with the in-store initiative, a voucher campaign runs from October 30th to November 8th, also extended to Meu Super stores. The vouchers will be available on the stores’ cashier lines.

The donated goods will be distributed to hundreds of associations and informal animal support groups as well as to needy families and homeless people with dependent animals enrolled in the Animalife’s Support Programs, the promoter and organizer of the BSA. “This return of the BSA to the stores happens at a time when several associations and people in a situation of economic need are struggling with enormous difficulties to feed the animals they are in charge of, following the COVID-19 pandemic”, says Rodrigo Livreiro, president of Animalife. “Our partners realized this and, being unable to remain indifferent to the social and food emergency situation that we face, they quickly adapted procedures so that this return could take place in a totally safe way”, he says. “I appeal to all Portuguese, who are usually very supportive, to participate in yet another campaign that allows them to directly help close to 60,000 animals at risk”, he adds.

Strict safety rules guarantee a safe campaign.
After the last campaign’s success, carried out at the beginning of the month, which made possible the collection of more […]
[178,158,182,175

post-8111","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-campaign","category-continente-en","category-missao-continente-news","category-news
<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.5 -
