This bread has a dense crumb, with more moisture and a darker shade, contains no additives and is a source of fiber and protein. All of this results in a very tasty bread and with less salt (1g of salt per 100g of bread).\r\n\r\nBread is the most popular food in the world, being present in various meals, as well as being the most versatile food, giving origin to numerous recipes. This offer translates into a symbolic initiative from Continente, to celebrate World Bread Day, sharing the best that is done in Portugal, with regard to national production.\r\n\r\nContinente\u2019s purchases from domestic producers have increased steadily, and in 2019 another 4 thousand tonnes of wheat from Alentejo were acquired, whose flour is used daily to produce fresh bread in Continente stores.\r\n\r\nContinente Producers Club\u2019s goal is to provide national products of excellence to customers, resulting from a partnership work with producers, supported by technical and scientific knowledge and which allows to align the offer with the consumption trends. The Club is also committed to supporting local production, to small scale producers, managing to supply some stores in Continente\u2019s retail chain, thus resulting in an offer of \u201cProducts from the Region\u201d.\r\n\r\nAbout the Continente Producers Club (CPC)\r\n\r\nThe CPC is a support structure for Portuguese agricultural and livestock production, created in 1998, with the aim of bringing Sonae MC closer to national producers, distributed from North to South of the country, Azores and Madeira. Its mission is to promote national products according to high quality and safety standards, supporting its members, in a consistent and structured manner.\r\n\r\nProducers find in the CPC a guaranteed way to sell their production, while Sonae MC guarantees the offer, to its customers, of Portuguese products that respect the best production practices.\r\n\r\nThe CPC has been working for the benefit of the national agricultural sector, creating jobs, fostering regional development, promoting ambitious, innovative projects and of undeniable economic and social added value for our country.\r\n\r\nThe CPC currently has 240 members, including producer organizations, individual farmers and family businesses producing: fruit and vegetables, charcuterie (cheeses and sausages), meat, bakery and traditional pastries, fish, wines, olive oil, eggs, honey and take-away.\r\n\r\n* except in Madeira\u2019s stores.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Continente stores* will mark World Bread Day, October 16th, with the offer of 1 Triticale bread to all customers who […]","protected":false},"author":15,"featured_media":7823,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[178,158,159,175],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-7857","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-campaign","category-continente-en","category-digital-marketing","category-news"],"yoast_head":"\nContinente celebrates world bread day with offer to its customers -
