Despite having the largest number of interactions with followers, Continente is not the brand that publishes the most, which reveals a high level of engagement due to the higher average of interactions per post. Until June 30th, Continente added over 1.5M interactions in its profile, surpassing retailers in markets such as Spain or Italy, which have a much higher potential for followers. The report also shows that live videos and photography\/images are the types of posts preferred by the retail brands\u2019 audiences in southern Europe.\r\n\r\n\u201cMore than a touchpoint, we see social networks as a common space and an opportunity to include customers in the path we have been taking. A path where there are news, hobbies, recipes and suggestions for a more balanced life, live concerts, solidary stories and many other things, some of which we haven\u2019t yet imagined. And if 2020 has been a surprising year, it has also been the year to connect as never before and social networks have had, and will continue to have, a critical importance in this movement\u201d, explains Tiago Sim\u00f5es, Marketing Director.\r\n\r\nIn the SocialBakers\u2019 reports (report 1<\/a>, report 2<\/a>) it can also be seen that, in the first half of the year, the retail industry was the second category with the most interactions on the southern European brands\u2019 facebook pages, just behind the e-commerce category and surpassing others such as fashion, beauty, automobiles or consumer goods and also that, the numbers of followers, both on facebook<\/a> and instagram<\/a>, have kept growing.\r\n\r\nSocialbakers is a global marketing and social media platform, which operates based on artificial intelligence systems.
