national projects<\/a> dedicated to the prevention of childhood obesity.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nMiss\u00e3o Continente received 164 applications from national, private or public, non-profit entities, with projects in the area of \u200b\u200bChildhood Obesity prevention, that were subject to an online vote in the first place, and subsequently evaluated by a specialized jury, according to the relevance https:\/\/mc.sonae.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/imagem-donativo-missao-continente-2020-scaled.jpg 1825w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px\" \/>\r\n\r\nThe jury, composed of the National Program for the Promotion of Healthy Eating, the Directorate-General for Health, the Directorate-General for Education, the Portuguese Nutrition Association and the Portuguese Football Federation, selected 10 projects relating to five schools, a parents\u2019 association, two health entities and two social sector entities.\r\n\r\nThe amount \u200b\u200battributed to each project varies between 10 thousand and 22 thousand euros and will allow putting into practice ideas to promote healthy habits through training and awareness actions, workshops, showcookings as well as promoting the importance of physical exercise among children, parents and school community.\r\n\r\nAfter the distribution of the donations to each winning project, a monitoring plan is carried out to help implement the selected projects through training workshops, visits, continuous monitoring and technical support.\r\n\r\nIn line with the United Nations\u2019 Sustainable Development Goals, Miss\u00e3o Continente thus reinforces its work in the field of healthy eating, continuing its support for transformative and socially impactful initiatives to different associations in the social sector in Portugal.\r\n\r\n<a
