The presentation session took place today, at the Cam\u00f5es Auditorium, in Lisbon with the presence of representatives from \u2018Universidade Aberta\u2019 and MC.\r\n\r\n<strong><em>Images Link<\/em><\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe programme was developed in partnership with MC, to respond to the retail sector\u2019s constant evolution, which is increasingly important in the Portuguese economy.\r\n\r\nComprised of 180 ECTS, the degree aims to develop knowledge, skills and deepen practices in the field of Management, particularly oriented towards the area of \u200b\u200bSales and Retail. It is aimed at professionals who already perform, or hope to be able to perform, the role of managers and directors in retail companies in any sector.\r\n\r\n\u201c<em>The aim is to contribute to the acquisition of a set of skills, namely in the use of digital technologies, the identification and characterization of markets and in the planning and management of operations, preparing students for active life<\/em>\u201d, highlights the dean of \u2018Universidade Aberta\u2019, Carla Padrel de Oliveira.\r\n\r\n\u201c<em>We are very excited about this partnership with \u2018Universidade Aberta\u2019. We believe that the future of work will not be created without continuous learning and training, and our people were the first to accept this challenge. Qualifying adults, through a degree, was another formative stage in our upskilling strategy<\/em>,\u201d says Isabel Barros, administrator of the People and Transformation Portfolio at MC.\r\n\r\nThe degree in Sales and Retail Management is the first degree in this area at the \u2018Universidade Aberta\u2019and lasts 3 years. With a teaching staff made up of renowned experts in the field, centred on the Distance Learning model, aimed at adults, it ensures flexible teaching for students with a demanding professional activity, such as retail.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong>\u2018Universidade Aberta\u2019 (Open University)<\/strong>\r\n\r\nFounded in 1988, \u2018Universidade Aberta\u2019 (UAb) is the only public distance higher education institution in Portugal.\r\n\r\nDue to its vocation and nature, UAb uses in its teaching activities the most advanced distance learning methodologies and technologies aimed at education without geographical borders or physical barriers, with a special focus on the Portuguese language and culture (Portuguese communities and official Portuguese language countries).\r\n\r\n<strong>MC<\/strong>\r\n\r\nMC is leader in the food retail sector in Portugal and has a set of food retail (Continente, Continente Modelo, Continente Bom Dia, Continente Online, Meu Super), health, well-being and beauty (Wells, Arenal, Dr. Wells, Go Natural) business formats and other complementary growth businesses (Bagga, note!, ZU).
