With 52 employees, the new store is open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and follows MC\u2019s proximity stores expansion strategy in urban locations and neighbourhoods.\r\n\r\nThis opening is marked by a 10% discount on Continente Card campaign, across the entire store, between the 19<sup>th<\/sup> and 21<sup>st<\/sup> of May, and which accumulates with the promotions in force. This opening reinforces the brand\u2019s commitment to the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia, which now has 13 stores.\r\n\r\n\u201c<em>We want to be ever closer to families residing in Portugal, returning the affection we have had for over 36 years, offering the best products at the best price for everyone<\/em>,\u201d explains the store\u2019s Director, Joana Reis, who\u2019s been with MC for 23 years.\r\n\r\nTo highlight its arrival in the region, Miss\u00e3o Continente gifted shopping carts filled with essential goods to the institutions sponsored by the new store: ASSM (Madalena\u2019s Social Solidarity Association), Child Protective Association and SOS Children\u2019s Villages Association \u2013 Gulpilhares.
