Throughout Sunday afternoon, <strong>June 4<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>, each of the Chefs will present their own vision of local cuisine and exclusive dishes with the best that Madeira has to offer. At 3 p.m., visitors can also attend a workshop by <strong>nutritionist Dr. M\u00e1rcia Freitas<\/strong> on balanced lifestyles and nutrition.\r\n\r\nAnd to make known the best that the island has to offer, <strong>12 local producers <\/strong>will be at the \u2018<strong>Bom Para a Madeira<\/strong>\u2019 Festival displaying, offering tastings and selling regional products such as wines, liqueurs and soft drinks, cheeses, bakery products, traditional sweets, tuna, eggs and fruit.\r\n\r\nThis Festival organized by Continente, and free access, represents the celebration of regional traditions, which combine music with gastronomy, namely, with tastings of local products and showcookings by renowned Chefs, in addition to activities dedicated to the younger ones.\r\n\r\nAll information about the \u2018Bom para a Madeira\u2019 Festival is available here.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<strong>\u2018BOM PARA A MADEIRA\u2019 SHOWCOOKINGS\/WORKSHOPS STAGE PROGRAMME <\/strong>\r\n\r\n<strong>Chef Oct\u00e1vio Freitas<\/strong> \u2013 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.\r\n\r\nChef, owner of the OF School and presenter, Oct\u00e1vio Freitas fulfils his childhood dream of succeeding in the kitchen. He has a name and registered trademark in all parts of the island and is recognized the ability to leave its flavour in today&#8217;s youth. Today, he has almost 200 students in fifteen schools, recognizing that his work was responsible for the passion developed by many kids.\r\n\r\n<strong>Chef Maur\u00edcio Faria<\/strong> \u2013 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.\r\n\r\nThis Chef\u2019s story in the kitchen began in his teens, with a friend who, at the time, captivated him towards the kitchen as a professional outlet. Challenge accepted. Maur\u00edcio Faria\u2019s cuisine is stunning in every way. A broader tasting confirms his professional career of unquestionable level, always surrounded by great professionals and in well-known spaces.\r\n\r\n<strong>Chef J\u00falio Pereira<\/strong> \u2013 2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.\r\n\r\nThe passion for cooking began in his father\u2019s butchers, in his grandfather\u2019s gardens and in his mother\u2019s kitchen. The essence of the product and its season is engraved in his genes. In 2018, he opened the \u2018Kampo\u2019 restaurant in Funchal, bringing together meat and country products that he has enjoyed since childhood. Having conquered the palate of Madeirans, he opened the \u2018Akua\u2019 restaurant in 2019, bringing the flavours of the sea to the table.\r\n\r\n<strong>Nutritionist M\u00e1rcia Freitas<\/strong> \u2013 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.\r\n\r\nA healthy lifestyle enthusiast, her passion for nutrition came about through a personal battle she had to fight to maintain a healthy weight. Graduated in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Porto, she has a clinic named after her and has been collaborating with\u2019 Antena 3 Madeira\u2019 for 9 years on a section on nutrition.\r\n\r\n<strong>Chef Chakall<\/strong> \u2013 4:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.\r\n\r\nHe grew up in his mother\u2019s restaurant, served food and between the age of 14 and 18 was in charge of the kitchen. When he came of age, he went to study journalism. He worked for 7 years at the \u2018El Cronista\u2019 newspaper, then resigned and decided to travel around the world. First, he took a motorcycle trip through Latin America, like Che Guevara.
