{"id":14333,"date":"2023-05-08T10:46:16","date_gmt":"2023-05-08T10:46:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mc.sonae.pt\/?p=14333"},"modified":"2023-05-09T10:47:49","modified_gmt":"2023-05-09T10:47:49","slug":"innovation-associated-with-retail-at-the-bit-hackathon-by-mc-24-hour-technological-marathon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mc.sonae.pt\/en\/news\/innovation-associated-with-retail-at-the-bit-hackathon-by-mc-24-hour-technological-marathon\/","title":{"rendered":"Innovation associated with retail at the BIT Hackathon by MC | 24-HOUR TECHNOLOGICAL MARATHON"},"content":{"rendered":"The <strong>4<sup>th<\/sup> edition<\/strong> of <a href=\"https:\/\/bithackathon.mc.pt\/\"><strong>BIT Hackathon by MC<\/strong><\/a>, a 24-hour technological marathon that challenges universities, technological communities, start-ups and partners to develop projects with innovative ideas for retail, will take place on <strong>May 24<sup>th<\/sup> and 25<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong>, at Quinta do Jord\u00e3o , in <strong>Vila Nova de Gaia<\/strong>, and registrations are open.\r\n\r\nMC challenges participants to seek concepts across the value chain that can affect the retail sector, using references such as generative artificial intelligence, gamification strategies, sustainability or new ways of working. These projects can be applied to all MC brands (Continente, Continente Modelo, Continente Bom Dia, Continente Online, Meu Super, Bagga, Go Natural, Wells, Dr. Wells, Arenal, note!, ZU, Washy and Home Story) .\r\n\r\nThe winning team receives a prize of \u20ac2,500 in \u2018D\u00e1\u2019 Card and the second and third places, \u20ac1,500 and \u20ac500, respectively.\r\n\r\n<strong>Pedro C\u00f4rte-Real, head of IT at MC<\/strong>, says, \u201c<em>the Hackathon is one of the ways in which we show everyone our technological side, at the same time as we are challenged, in turn, to innovate. This year we will have, again, several new features and additional resources to strengthen the developed solutions.
