{"id":11325,"date":"2022-01-26T14:56:25","date_gmt":"2022-01-26T14:56:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mc.sonae.pt\/?p=11325"},"modified":"2022-01-26T14:56:25","modified_gmt":"2022-01-26T14:56:25","slug":"cheeses-sausages-and-wines-for-every-taste-on-continente","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mc.sonae.pt\/en\/news\/cheeses-sausages-and-wines-for-every-taste-on-continente\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018CHEESES, SAUSAGES AND WINES\u2019 FOR EVERY TASTE ON CONTINENTE"},"content":{"rendered":"Until February 20th<\/sup>, Continente stores will be featuring the traditional \u2018Cheeses, Sausages and Wines Fair<\/a>\u2019 with a wide range of regional cheeses<\/a>, sausages such as \u2018alheiras\u2019, chorizos and hams and a vast wines<\/a>\u00a0collection, from the various regions of the country, with direct discounts of up to 70%.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe Fair presents the best that is made in Portugal – such as the buttery sheep\u2019s cheeses from Serra da Estrela, Azeit\u00e3o and Serpa or the cheeses from the islands of S. Jorge and S. Miguel, with different curing times -, but also from other parts of the world, such as Italian charcuterie, through the exclusive brand \u2018Corte del Gusto\u2019, as well as a selection of buffalo milk cheeses. Regarding charcuterie, in addition to Continente Sele\u00e7\u00e3o\u2019s sliced range, the meat chorizos \u200b\u200band \u2018alheiras\u2019, there is also 24 and 38 month old sliced black pork ham.\r\n\r\nMore than 400 certified wines from more than 120 national producers are highlighted, including exclusive organic and vegan wines. In the 2021 edition, more than 4 million bottles of certified wines were sold during the Fair, in the same year in which 24 new Portuguese wine producers started a partnership with Continente.\r\n\r\nAlso in 2021, Continente\u2019s exclusive and private label wines won more than 270 medals in national and international competitions, 45 of which being won by the \u2018Contemporal\u2019 and \u2018Albenaz\u2019 private labels. We highlight the Gold medal won by \u2018Albenaz Jardim Secreto Alvarinho Premium Vinho Verde\u2019 (\u20ac12.99), in the Brussels World Competition, and the Great Gold Medal won by \u2018Contemporal Moscatel Roxo de Set\u00fabal\u2019 (\u20ac6.99), in the Mundus Vini competition, in Germany.\r\n\r\nAmong the novelties presented at this Fair are the first \u2018Contemporal\u2019 range\u2019s limited editions: the \u2018Contemporal Limited Edition Douro red\u2019 (\u20ac6.99), by the winemaker Francisco Olazabal, responsible for the wines of both Quinta do Vale Me\u00e3o and Quinta do Vallado, and the \u2018Contemporal Limited Edition Alentejo White\u2019 (\u20ac6.99), by winemaker Paulo Laureano. With only two thousand numbered bottles available, these wines represent a new segment, produced by renowned winemakers, with outstanding quality.\r\n\r\nFor the partnerships with producers\u2019 exclusives, we highlight \u2018Tapada das Lebres Signature\u2019, from Herdade das Mouras in Alentejo: a full-bodied wine made from Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Aragonez and Alicante Bouschet castes, aged for 8 months in American and French oak. Also from Alentejo there is the launch of \u2018Dona Julieta Reserva Red\u2019: a round wine, with an aroma of ripe black fruits, candied plums and hints of chocolate, from Casa Jos\u00e9 de Sousa in Reguengos de Monsaraz – the largest clay pots cellar in Portugal.
