{"id":11067,"date":"2021-12-10T12:22:02","date_gmt":"2021-12-10T12:22:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mc.sonae.pt\/?p=11067"},"modified":"2021-12-13T12:25:41","modified_gmt":"2021-12-13T12:25:41","slug":"missao-continente-makes-special-donation-to-local-institutions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mc.sonae.pt\/en\/news\/missao-continente-makes-special-donation-to-local-institutions\/","title":{"rendered":"MISS\u00c3O CONTINENTE MAKES SPECIAL DONATION TO LOCAL INSTITUTIONS"},"content":{"rendered":"To mark the reopening of Continente\u2019s store in Vila Real, Miss\u00e3o Continente donated shopping carts filled with essential goods to its six local social partners*, which are already regularly supported with the store\u2019s daily food surplus, benefiting the entities users and avoiding food waste.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe \u2018Plataforma ProAnimal\u2019 Association, represented by Leonor Morais Rodrigues, the Vila Real\u2019s Portuguese Red Cross delegation, represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Colonel Fernando Teixeira, the \u2018Lar N\u00aa Sr\u00aa das Dores\u2019 Foundation, represented by Paula Margarida Reis and Maria do Carmo Varej\u00e3o, the Vila Real\u2019s Diocesan Caritas, represented by Henrique Oliveira, the Vale de Nogueiras\u2019 Social and Parish Centre, represented by its Technical Director, Daniela Silva and \u2018Refood\u2019 (Vila Real\u2019s branch), represented by Jorge Rodrigues, were welcomed by the Director of Vila Real\u2019s Continente store, Lu\u00eds Pereira and by Leopoldina (Miss\u00e3o Continente\u2019s mascot). All institutions were gifted a cart full of dozens of products such as food, hygiene and cleaning products, as a symbol of strengthening the relationship between the entities and the brand, as the store completes remodelling works to better serve the population.\r\n\r\nVila Real\u2019s Continente was completely remodelled, now having 4,575 m2<\/sup> of sales area, 40 cashiers in the hypermarket, new stores – ZU, Note, Well\u2019s, Dr. Well\u2019s, Worten Mobile, Worten, MO and Bagga – and more parking spaces.
