{"id":11014,"date":"2021-12-06T10:56:05","date_gmt":"2021-12-06T10:56:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mc.sonae.pt\/?p=11014"},"modified":"2021-12-07T11:02:00","modified_gmt":"2021-12-07T11:02:00","slug":"volunteer-firefighters-award-missao-continente","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mc.sonae.pt\/en\/news\/volunteer-firefighters-award-missao-continente\/","title":{"rendered":"VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS AWARD MISS\u00c3O CONTINENTE"},"content":{"rendered":"<strong>The Portuguese Association of Voluntary Firefighters (APBV) awarded the \u201cGolden Grade\u201d Good Services Medal to Miss\u00e3o Continente, for having contributed to the Association\u2019s prestige and exposure at both local and national levels.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe Medal was awarded to Miss\u00e3o Continente by the APBV\u2019s Chairman of the Board, Jo\u00e3o Marques, during the celebrations of the APBV\u2019s 16<sup>th<\/sup> Anniversary, on December 4<sup>th<\/sup>, at the Association\u2019s 1<sup>st<\/sup> Award Ceremony.\r\n\r\n\u201c<em>The \u201cGolden Grade\u201d Good Services Medal distinguishes the conduct and support demonstrated by Miss\u00e3o Continente during this year, namely the 30,000 euros raised with the sale of the 1<sup>st<\/sup> edition of Miss\u00e3o Continente\u2019s solidarity shopping bag, which allowed the purchase of Automatic External Defibrillators, as well as the 1,400 euros raised with the activation of the \u201cVolta a Portugal\u201d Bike Tour<\/em>\u201d, says Jo\u00e3o Marques, Chairman of the Board of the APBV. \u201c<em>This award given to Miss\u00e3o Continente represents our great appreciation for all the support initiatives shown, which allow us to help even more people<\/em>\u201d, adds Jo\u00e3o Marques.\r\n\r\n\u201c<em>It is an enormous privilege for us to receive such an important award from the Portuguese Association of Voluntary Firefighters. Miss\u00e3o Continente\u2019s work aims to create social value and take care of the communities where we operate, and that is why we have made a point of contributing whenever possible to the APBV and its corporations, because the support that firefighters provide, every day, to the population is essential and it never hurts to be recognized.
