Continente is the first brand to certify all national lamb meat for sale in its stores.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nContinente\u2019s National Lamb thus joins the Aberdeen-Angus Continente\u00ae and Limousine Continente\u00ae butcher brands, which are sold exclusively at Continente stores, which had already received the same certification this year. Certification in Animal Welfare, controlled and certified by an independent external entity, is based on 12 criteria on which main parameters such as food, accommodation, health and freedom to express the animals\u2019 natural behaviour are evaluated.\r\n\r\n\u201cWe are proud of this Continente\u2019s Lamb Meat certification, which allows us to recognize and guarantee greater safety for the consumer and greater traceability, from production to the moment of consumption<\/em>\u201d, says Ricardo Creado, Commercial Director at Sonae MC. “Our goal is, and will always be, to ensure the best product quality to our customers, which is increasingly guaranteed when meat comes from producers who care about, and comply with Animal Welfare on their farms<\/em>” explains the official.\r\n\r\nSonae MC\u2019s concern is to guarantee the promotion of sustainable practices that guarantee the quality of a food system, as well as respect for the environment, throughout the entire process \u2013 from meadow to plate. This certification is another step in Continente\u2019s concern to promote sustainable practices that guarantee the quality of a food system and respect for the environment.\r\n\r\n\u2018Pasto Alentejano\u2019 is the national supplier that integrates a network of more than 2000 national Continente lamb meat producers, with over 20 years of partnership with Sonae MC, and more than 100 years dedicated exclusively to the production and marketing of Lamb.\r\n\r\nContinente\u2019s Free Service Lamb range\u2019s production, slaughter, cutting and packaging were all audited points in order to verify compliance with the Welfare Quality Protocol\u2019s measures, which later gave rise to the WelfairTM seal, certified by AENOR, the national certifying entity accredited by the IRTA (international entity responsible for the control and attribution of the seal at the Iberian level), and all Continente brand\u2019s Lamb is covered by this certification.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"More than 2000 national producers of Continente\u2019s lamb meat have now received international certification in Animal Welfare, throughout the entire […]","protected":false},"author":19,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[158,197,175],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-10379","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-continente-en","category-national-products","category-news"],"yoast_head":"\nContinente lamb meat is now internationally certificated -
